One State.. Why don't we work as one body?

Every day, we witness major development projects that seek to solve pressing problems and improve the lives of citizens. Building bridges to ease traffic congestion, establishing housing projects, and developing infrastructure are all important steps. However, sometimes, we find that these solutions come at the expense of other equally important aspects, such as urban beauty, heritage, or even the acquired rights of citizens. Why does this happen? And why do we sometimes seem to act like isolated islands even though we are one country?

Absent coordination.. and high prices Take a simple example: A city suffers from traffic congestion, so a decision is made to build a bridge to solve the problem. But, was the opinion of urban planning and urban beauty specialists taken into account? We may find this bridge built on a beautiful corniche that was a breathing space for the residents, or in an archaeological site, with which part of the identity of the place is lost. It is true that the congestion will be solved, but we have lost something else that is equally important: beauty and identity.

Another more egregious example: A governorate announces an auction to sell a plot of land, the sale is carried out in accordance with the law, the buyer obtains all the required licenses, starts construction and spends millions of pounds, then suddenly another government agency surprises him by saying that it objects to the project! The case enters into a legal dispute, work stops, the citizen bears the losses, and the money of the state and investors alike is wasted.

And there is the example that is repeated daily: A new road is paved with the best specifications, and a few weeks later another agency comes to dig it up again in order to connect utilities! Why was there no coordination in advance so that all the work is carried out together without wasting time, money and effort?
